[Papyrus isn't convinced, but something in him quails at the thought of persisting in doing the thing Michael is so adamantly against. Especially when they're in the middle of all this emotional approximately-honest talk and maybe even becoming better friends??

So he shelves any returns to Miso Fou's for other times, and for now finds a food cart near a nice seating alcove to wait in. The food is very dry. Flakey. One might even describe it as pastries.]

ARE YOU FULL UP ON OTHER POTIONS, BY THE WAY?

[Well, Michael can...he can do this. He's not all that accustomed to making arrangements and meeting people (like they're friends or something), but...well, it's not that different than if they'd just run into each other, right?

He'll even collect a pastry, before joining Papyrus with a pretty palpable air of uncertainty.]

Uh - no, not really? Is that a thing? [does everyone just have a bunch of potions and he's been unaware?]

[A Michael has arrived! Papyrus stops fiddling with his bracer and waves a welcome, half-eaten pastry still in hand.]

Of course it's a thing. It's a thing for me! [Skeleton trendsetter here, thank you.] Brewing potions, it just comes so naturally...

And it's good preparation, to have something to drink, at all times. In case of vending machines, or thirst, or just needing a little boost.

[That vending machine. It's stopped flinging vials at him, but how long will that peace last, really?]

[Michael takes a bite of his pastry, chewing thoughtfully. He guesses he does get thirsty, sometimes.]

[Papyrus' eyesockets boggle, though he quickly tones it down as he tries to hide his surprise.]

I saw - uh, people - cooking, and it just seemed so natural. Mixing things together, and making something new... I had to give it a shot, and I got great at it so quickly!
